today was a great running day. the last running day of the week being my running guru friends have told me that before my injury in the fall i was doing too many miles a week. so i started back slowly and tomorrow i will go to the gym to swish back and forth on the elliptical as i look longingly at the treadmill. as an all or nothing girl, it's no easy feat to build some cross training into my routine.
here's matty escorting me to pa's house where i ran on the treadmill this cold morning since the snow banks and the 20 degree weather don't make for a comfortable or safe run in the streets of suburbia.
|a nice dark snapshot taken with my phone....legos, never leave home without them...|
anyhoo, i was going to stop my run at 3.5 miles today but threw in the extra quarter mile because a really good video came on (i watch the videos for some eye candy while i run to my ipod shuffle at the parents' cottage) and "my fresh pair of kicks" kept on goin...... watch this video....twice....
now all we need is summer and for kid rock to mix in a shower and maybe a super-sized meal or two.
as for the quotes....
"because it really isn't how old we are or get to be in life.
it's only how we live, day to day, that matters."
